Clay County and the Cities of Fort Gaines and Bluffton represent three, separately vibrant communities, located in Southwest Georgia, that are currently working together in order to provide an update to the comprehensive plan for our communities. The completed document is intended to provide vital, directional guidance for future decision making related to land use, economic development, and quality of life issues that impact every resident of the region. This web site is dedicated to providing pertinent and up-to-date information related to the ongoing comprehensive planning process and facilitate public participation in the planning process. The first meeting of the Comprehensive Planning session was held on Friday, June 23, 2006. The meeting was well attended by interested citizens and businesses. We will hold a series of meetings over the next 12 months to assemble a complete new comprehensive plan which is due June 2007. News and updates will be added to this site as progress is made.
